We’ll be taking part in Global Bird Weekend, in association with BirdLife International, eBird and Swarovski Optik. This will be the biggest ever birding weekend, and support BirdLife International’s appeal to end the illegal wild bird trade.
Saturday 17 October—Global Bird Day
- Birders all over the world will be recording the species they see and submitting their lists to eBird for Global Bird Day/October Big Day #octoberbigday
- We’ll be exploring some sites in North Bangalore that we have discovered on our local lockdown travels, including this new wetland that we just happened to see from the road a few weeks ago!
Sunday 18 October
- Photograph, video, sound record or sketch birds in the field and post on social media #globalbirdweekend #globalbirding
- Mike will be joining the live online birding session on the SWAROVSKI OPTIK Birding Facebook page.
The event is free to participate, though donations appreciated.
