Big cats are usually synonymous with Africa. But that is a strange thought, considering that four of the world’s five big cats can be found in India. From the mysterious Snow Leopard in the Himalayas, to the iconic Tiger, to the Asiatic Lion, the only lion subspecies found outside Africa, to the Leopard, a highly-adaptable survival specialist, each of these magnificent predators holds its own special place in the wild world. Join us as we explore the homes and lives of these beautiful animals.
From our start in Gir National Park, the only home of the Asiatic Lion, we move to Jaipur and its healthy population of Leopards in Jhalana Safari Park. We then move on to Ranthambhore National Park, probably the most famous place for Tigers, before our intrepid week in Ladakh, on the trail of the Snow Leopard—the “Grey Ghost”.
