India is home to a variety of iconic animals, the most popular being elephants and tigers. However, there are many more animals that call India home, many of them, unfortunately, endangered and restricted to various pockets throughout the subcontinent. Combining our many years of expertise in wildlife tours, this particular tour has been specially handcrafted for the more experienced and discerning wildlife lovers, highlighting the many endangered animals that call India home.
We start this tour in Velavadar National Park in Gujarat, an excellent place for Blackbuck and with regular sightings of Wolf and Striped Hyena, before we move on to look for some of the remaining few hundred Asiatic Lions in Gir National Park. Still in Gujarat, the Little Rann of Kutch is home to Asiatic Wild Ass, as well as many species of birds. We then head to Central India and Pench and Tadoba National Parks where we can except fantastic views of the mighty Tiger. Then east to Assam and Kaziranga National Park where birds and other wildlife are plentiful. In particular, we look forward to seeing Indian Rhinoceros and Asian Elephants here.
