Birds and Birding in India

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Travel Update

Bubo Birding is now operating limited tours in India, following sensible COVID-19 precautions.

November 2020 Update

Clearly this is obvious, but with the global crisis of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic affecting all of us, we must all do our bit to minimise the spread of this disease. Having ceased to run any tours since March 2020, and having recommended we all stay at home whenever possible, we now feel it is relatively safe, and beneficial, to operate some tours, with appropriate precautions in place. We do urge everyone to follow official advice before deciding whether to travel again though.

This is the worst crisis to ever affect the travel industry, and our thoughts go out to everyone connected with it. In India, we deal predominantly with small, family-run, businesses, and self-employed individuals, who have had no income at all for many months, little or no welfare support, and limited prospects in the short- and mid-term. We sincerely hope that things will pick up gradually, and that we can continue working with them.

On this basis, we have published a tentative schedule of tours, although will be constantly monitoring official advice before we can confirm that these will go ahead. Please do contact us to register your interest.

Be kind to everyone…
